Gloved hands lifting a cracked terracotta tile to reveal water staining underneath

Roof repairs

Roof repairs on the Northern Beaches

Leaks, broken tiles, rusted sheets and storm damage, fixed by a licensed roofer based in Frenchs Forest. Photos of the cause with every quote.

A leak rarely starts where the water shows up inside. It runs along battens and sarking, so the ceiling stain is often metres from the entry point. We check the whole roof, photograph what we find, and quote the repair in writing.

What we repair

  • Cracked, slipped or broken tiles and slates
  • Leaking flashings around chimneys, skylights and valleys
  • Rusted Colorbond and corrugated iron sheets, and failed roof screws
  • Storm and hail damage, including make-safe tarping
  • Rebedding and repointing of ridge caps
  • Sagging or rotten battens, fascias and bargeboards
  • Blocked or overflowing box gutters

Water coming in now?

Call. On weekdays we’ll tarp and secure the roof the same day where we can, then quote the permanent repair once it’s dry enough to see properly. Outside hours, leave a message and you’ll get a call back first thing.

Insurance claims

Storm damage is usually claimable. We supply the photo report and itemised quote your insurer asks for, and we’ll talk to the assessor if that helps get it moving.

Common questions

How much does a roof repair cost?

Minor tile, pointing and flashing repairs usually come to a few hundred dollars. Anything bigger is quoted in writing after we’ve looked at the roof, with photos of what we found.

Do you repair slate roofs?

Yes. Slate and tile are what we do most: replacing individual slates, refixing slipped ones, and re-flashing valleys and chimneys on older Manly and Balgowlah houses. Metal and flat roofs are covered too.

How quickly can you come out?

Weekdays, usually within 48 hours. Active leaks go to the front of the queue.

Will you find the actual leak?

That’s the job. We trace the water back from the stain, lift tiles where we need to, and show you the entry point in a photo before we quote.

Send a photo of the problem

A phone photo of the ceiling stain, or the roof from the street, is enough to start.
